Job Description AT

JOB OPPORTUNITY – Adventure Training Manager for Marthwaite Farm Park and Camp Site

A job opportunity has become available and the owner of the company who is an ex Officer is keen to employ an individual with RAPTC experience.  Brief details are below and a more detailed job description is attached.

Background

Essentially the job is to set up an adventure training activity centre and to run it as an autonomous part of the diversified BJC Estates enterprise.

Phase One –  Designing and Planning an Adventure Training Operation based at Marthwaite Foot

Phase Two –  Operating and Adventure Training Enterprise

Most of this will involve interaction with members of the public, including mainly children and young persons.

However, the proprietor and managing director, Brian Capstick (himself ex-service) is personally very committed to playing a role in supporting the rehabilitation of mentally and/or physically disabled ex-servicemen and emergency service workers, and some experience of that sort of work would be a decided advantage.

The company will also seek to attract regular schoolchildren’s visits for geography and science field trips, and the incumbent would be expected to help with this.  Family residential accommodation in Sedbergh may be available for the right candidate.

Anyone interested should contact Nick Edwards at the following address or email address; Nick will reply within 5 working days:

Address:  BJC-UK (Estates)Ltd, Birks Farm, Birks Lane, Sedbergh, Cumbria, LA10 5HQ
